Our Executive Team
Bill Schroeder

Senior Vice President
Bill Schroeder

Secret Recipe Protector
Having been trusted at a young age with the names of Kentucky Fried Chicken’s 11 herbs and spices, and never revealing the secret, Bill proved to be a trustworthy young man. He leveraged this experience into a career in global recipe security. Midnight meetings, truth serums, and disguises were everyday occurrences in Bill’s “pre-InTouch” life. As a globe-trotting, undercover operative in the Central Intelligence Agency’s elite Recipe Protection Division (RPD), Bill spent many years dodging bullets and evading intelligence officers while insuring the secrecy of society’s favorites like McDonald’s secret Big Mac sauce, Dr. Pepper, Bush’s Baked Beans, as well as his favorite, KFC. Today Bill continues to guard our secrets but spends most of his time developing and lecturing about dental medicine’s most effective marketing solutions!
Katie Schroeder

President
Katie began what would become InTouch Practice Communications from her dining room table in 1995. She now leads the InTouch team of marketing professionals, helping dentists effectively reach people in their communities. Katie lives in Northwest Indiana with her family.
Katie Schroeder

Country Music Superstar
You might not recognize her face, but chances are, you know popular country songs that were inspired by Katie. Having been born and raised in Nashville, Katie grew up working the country music circuit with many of today’s popular singer/songwriters. It wasn’t until she received a CMA award this year for “Stuck with You Like Gum on My Shoe” that she realized collectively, she has spent five weeks at #1 on the country music charts! Katie is honored to be an inspiration to the country music community and gladly displays the trophy in her basement bar.

Amanda Biro

Account Manager
Amanda earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in communication from Purdue University. She is a big fan of communication theories (Cultivation Theory is her favorite) and loves working with clients.
Amanda is a fur mom to her two cats, Lucy & Theo, who are always begging for Amanda’s attention. Amanda hopes to one day travel the world and master the art of cooking, even though she occasionally burns toast. She may not be the best cook, but she does make a pretty good PB&J.
In Amanda’s free time, you can find her binge-watching TV series or hanging out with her family and friends. Her favorite foods are tacos and chicken tenders, and she could drink coffee all day.
Amanda Biro

Inquisitive Witch
When Amanda graduated from Hogwarts, she decided she wanted to understand the muggles—the non-magic folk. She was always curious about their non-flying cars and how they communicated through a hand-held brick that called people without magic. Through her determination, she packed her bags and took her trusty companions, Lucy & Theo, and ventured off into the wild world of the muggles. She found herself in Northwest Indiana and is still trying to understand the people who live there. Amanda has a lot of questions, but she hopes that studying the people at InTouch will help her understand the muggles a little bit better.
Amanda Gass

Digital Marketing Analyst
Amanda is a graduate of Saint Joseph’s College of Rensselaer, IN, with a degree in mass communication. She is Facebook certified and enjoys helping our clients by creating compelling and fun Facebook ads. She has a Calico cat, Isles, who loves to watch YouTube videos of birds and enjoys being a ham. Amanda has spent time taking care of cats on her parents’ porch throughout the years – naming them all after TV detectives (Gibbs, Ziva, etc.). In her spare time, she enjoys drinking all sorts of different hot teas (black, green, herbal, etc.), reading posts and comments on various Facebook groups, trivia, and playing SongPop – a Name That Tune app that she’s very good at.
Amanda Gass

Crime Fighter
Amanda is a criminal-fighting machine with a heart of gold. With years of experience, she and her cats have formed a dynamic team to take down the bad guys in a timely fashion. Her base is full of cat detectives that are always on the hunt. She and her cat detective team have received numerous awards for their great teamwork.
Ashley Spisak

Graphic Designer
Ashley graduated in 2011 with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from Columbia College in Chicago, with a focus on advertising and graphic design. She began her professional career working in the newspaper and magazine industries, but smoothly transitioned into the wonderful world of web design and digital marketing in 2015. She currently resides in her hometown of Griffith, IN, with her husband, Tim and son, Alek. On weekends, you can find Ashley at flea markets, thrift stores, and estate sales, shopping for treasures to stock her online store, which features vintage decor and housewares or creating weird collages out of 1950’s LIFE magazines.
Ashley Spisak

Big City Dreamer
Ashley was born in a small, electricity-free cabin in the mountains of Montana. She grew up tending to the goats and chickens, and became very fond of woodworking. When she wasn’t taking care of her nine younger siblings, she liked to go out and find a quiet spot amongst the tall trees to daydream of the big city. She secretly wanted to act on Broadway. One misty morning, Ashley hopped aboard an eastbound freight train. Unfortunately, she was caught and thrown out in Northwest Indiana, which happens to be the home of InTouch Practice Communications. The rest is history!
Dave Ressler

Project Manager
Dave began his professional journey by earning a BFA in Design from Wayne State University in Detroit, MI. While focusing on his passion for partnering with clients to help them succeed he made a transition into account and project management. Since then, Dave has helped launch small business and ecommerce websites, develop and manage client accounts, and spearhead digital marketing campaigns.
When away from family and work, he enjoys copious amounts of tv and film and is known to hide away from the world building scale models from old Sci-Fi shows. Once emerging from the shadows, Dave enjoys listening to music on his ever-increasing showcase of headphones and collecting technological relics like CDs and MiniDiscs. (They’re making a comeback!)
Dave Ressler

Professional Stuntman
Before making the jump into digital marketing Dave was the first breakout child-stuntman dating back to the 1980’s. You’ve seen the back of his head, or in distant wide-shots, in classic films like “Chunk” in Goonies, “Swamp of Sadness Atreyu” in The NeverEnding Story, “Silhouette Elliot on flying bike” in E.T. and many more! He still moonlights to this day and If you look closely, you may spot him in more recent blockbuster films.
Jacob Plewell

Digital Marketing Analyst
Jacob graduated with a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Governors State University in 2020. He began his professional career working in logistics and transportation, while doing freelance marketing work on the side. As his love for marketing grew, Jacob made the decision to switch careers, and ultimately landed at InTouch in March of 2022.
In his free time, Jacob enjoys fitness, football, anything music related, and spending time with his friends, girlfriend, and pets (Mezzo & Lola).
Jacob Plewell

Unprofessional Musician
When not at InTouch, you can catch Jacob playing guitar poorly and singing off key across the Chicagoland area in his alternative rock tribute band. Jake has the skills to clear out any packed club, venue, or wedding with his terrible musicianship and unprofessional on-stage antics. It’s gotten so bad that even his own mother has stopped supporting him. The only success they have found recently is to play “comedy nights” at local clubs, since their performances are such a joke.

Jaime’s biggest fear in life is that the airlines are going to check the weight of her carry on bag causing a ripple effect in her travel plans. The backpacking Globetrotter hopes to become a traveling nomad who disappears into the depths of the world to seek travel.

He spends most of his free time relaxing with his parents, sister and her family, and his pets.
James Larson

Prankster
As the reincarnation of Loki, the Norse god of mischief, James enjoys spending his days perplexing and pranking his co-workers. He can often be found using his shapeshifting abilities to confuse the UPS and FedEx delivery people when they come to drop off packages, take advantage of senior citizen discounts at local restaurants, and entertain his massive amount of Twitter followers with his kooky and harmless hijinks. James has two pets: a husky named Fenrir, and a snake named Jörmungandr. When asked about his fellow Norse gods, James becomes withdrawn, and only states that “it’s a Thor subject.”

Kate Kryk

So you want to know about your project manager? You mean to say you’ve never heard of Kate before? As a former wide receiver for the University of Notre Dame, she broke the record for career touchdowns with 200. She’s still the record holder to this day. A career in the NFL could have been her future if it were not for the high ankle sprain. So here she is continuing the dream and ready to be your future project manager.
Kathryn Furlan

Copywriter
Kathryn graduated from Ball State University in 2010 with a Bachelor of Arts in English. In 2017, she joined InTouch to do what she had been wanting to do as a career for years: write. Later in 2017, she received her master’s degree in communications from Purdue University Northwest.
In her free time, Kathryn enjoys reading, learning about all kinds of new and interesting things (cryptids, historical events, string theory, weather phenomena, you name it), hanging out at Barnes & Noble, drawing, painting, and playing video games.
Kathryn Furlan

Former Child Star
Former Italian child star Caterina Frittata was booted out of her home country following accusations that she was plotting to overthrow former Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi. She fled across the Atlantic to the United States where she was granted asylum, gave herself a generic name, and learned English by binge-watching all 9 seasons of Seinfeld. *bass slap* Wanting to live as inconspicuously as possible, she moved with her grandmother (who had been living stateside for several years) and 3 cats into a tiny apartment in the inconspicuous Midwest. She got an inconspicuous writing job to help pay the rent, and in her spare time, she enjoys making Turkish coffee and watching Fellini films.
Kimberly Skrbina

Graphic Designer
Kimberly was born and raised in Illinois. She went to college at Grand Valley State University in Michigan for three years and graduated from Elmhurst College with a Bachelor of Arts degree with an emphasis in graphic design and multi-media. Since graduating, she has worked in advertising for about 20 years as a designer, over seven of which have been with InTouch Practice Communications. Kimberly has been married for over 14 years and has two young boys (who always keep her on her toes). She enjoys traveling, playing volleyball, running, creating art (photos, paints, crafts with the kids, etc.). Family and friends are what mean the most to her; it’s where her heart is.
Kimberly Skrbina

Cartoon Voice Actor
Kimberly was the voice of Cookie the Mouse from the infamous children’s cartoon “Mouse House.” Being that she loves working with children and has a soft, squeaky voice, it was the perfect job for her…or so she thought. Cookie really enjoyed cookies (which is how the mouse got its name, of course), and Kimberly stayed in character a little too long, even off set. She really loved her job and started to eat chocolate chip cookies ALL. THE. TIME. She ate them so much that she started to develop chocolate chip freckles everywhere, so it was time to move on. She now works at InTouch and is freckle-free. She’s still creative, but on the digital front. On occasion, you can still catch her with a cookie or two, but of a different kind: snickerdoodle (shh!).
Krissie Gillis

Administrative Coordinator
Krissie graduated from Columbia College in Chicago with a Bachelor of Arts in Theater. Before InTouch, she spent thirteen years in the hospitality business. She enjoys shopping, going out to dinner, and the occasional visit to Blue Chip Casino!
Krissie Gillis

Sunlight-Loving Vampire
Krissie had always been a morning person until over a decade ago she was bitten by a bat and turned into a vampire. Unable to go out during the day, she was forced to work graveyard shifts. Then one day while surfing the net, she came across a website that advertised sunblock with an SPF of 1000! Able to venture out into the sunlight again, she enrolled in business school and developed her own line of vampire-friendly treats, including the #1 seller “Blood” Suckers.

Kylah Adkins

Snow White
You might know Kylah as a digital marketing analyst at InTouch, but secretly she is the princess of the forest. AKA Snow White. Kylah has her squad of 7 dwarfs that follow her around and whistles while they work. She enjoys singing, dancing, cooking, daydreaming and loves all the animals. Fruit is her favorite, but don’t you dare feed her a red apple. She’s not falling for that one again.

Kyle brings a deep passion for providing outstanding customer service, building trust, and helping our clients maximize the value of their digital presence.

REDACTED
(NAME REDACTED) is a former board member of the Consorzio San Marzano, the organization providing D.O.P. certification to San Marzano tomatoes in Italy. He was a member of the regulation enforcement team, visiting producers to ensure they were operating under the strictest guidelines. However, the local farmers quickly grew tired of his particular approach to the audits. Frustrated and feeling as though they were jumping through unnecessary hoops, the tomato farmers revolted against the organization and eventually kidnapped him and held him hostage for months.
He was eventually relocated to the United States through a witness protection program. Some say that (NAME REDACTED) now works in “digital marketing” somewhere in the United States, but many suspect that he’s since been involved in the illegal tomato trade in North America where counterfeit tomatoes are running rampant to this day.

Madison Schroeder

Field Weather Reporter
Before InTouch, Madison spent three years as a weather reporter stationed at San Francisco’s wind hill. “I fell in love with the wind as a child after watching Gone With With The Wind with my parents” says Madison. She continues…”After three years of untangling my hair and picking bugs from my teeth, I found that the movie has nothing to do with the weather and have since moved back to less windy Indiana.”
Megan Martinez

Copywriter
Megan graduated from Valparaiso University with a Bachelor of Arts in Creative Writing with minors in Communication and Professional Writing in 2021. Though her favorite kind of writing is creative, she has yet to try a genre she hasn’t enjoyed. Copywriting for InTouch has been both a challenge and a growing experience in the best way!
When she’s not working, Megan is spending time with friends and family, reading, or writing her first book. She hopes to publish a novel of her own one day and share it with the world, but in the meantime, she is happy to write for InTouch.
Megan Martinez

Dog Whisperer
Since she was a child, Megan has had the incredible gift of communicating with dogs, making her one of few authentic dog whisperers in Northwest Indiana. Becoming a pro dog whisperer by the age of 12, she went on to share her gift with various dog owners, gaining fame throughout her teenage years and giving Dr. Dolittle a run for his money. However, it’s unlikely you’ve ever heard of her, due to her own dog, Leighla’s, undying need for constant attention causing Megan to give up the fame to focus solely Leighla.
Mike Georgeff

Marketing Strategist
As a Marketing Strategist at InTouch Practice Communications, Mike works with our clients and internal teams to plan and deploy digital marketing tactics that will achieve maximum return on investment and exceed established goals. Mike has worked in the digital marketing space for more than 13 years, honing his talents in branding and positioning, copywriting, client retention, campaign development, direct response, email marketing, and more.

Mike Georgeff

Monkey Mafia Don
Mike spent his youth on the mean streets of Highland, IN as a pickpocket and street magician with his pet monkey Sancho. To escape the law, he fled to an island off the coast of Thailand to live with Sancho’s family. During the dot com boom, he smuggled Sancho and his family back to America where they sold their monkey business ideas to the highest bidders. Mike now masquerades as a strategist for InTouch while secretly acting as the monkey mafia Don for the Midwest’s largest troop of primate pickpockets.
Nikki Szalay

Manager, Creative
Nikki has been a part of the InTouch team for over eight years. Although she has a heavy background in front-end development, Nikki truly loves all aspects of marketing and brings her experience in agency, in-house, and freelance work to the table. She has a knack for creative problem solving and applies this toward helping to develop more efficient processes and standards for the creative team.
Her favorite thing about working at InTouch is that even though the company has grown into a large agency, it still takes the “mom-and-pop” approach by handling all clients with special care. As the Creative Manager, she helps the team develop and maintain processes as well as design standards to provide that special care.
When she is not discussing solutions or improvements with the team, Nikki enjoys working out, cooking, spending time with her son, Landon, and husband, Mat, and playing with her Chihuahua, Bella.
Nikki Szalay

Chihuahua Gymnastics Coach
Before joining InTouch, Nikki was the world’s first Chihuahua gymnastics coach. But since Chihuahuas aren’t that flexible, and they’re too tiny to see from the grandstands, her career was short-lived. Now, footage and images of her Chihuahua team are just the butts of memes and GIFs all over the Web.
Rachel Null

Lead Brand Marketing Strategist
As the Lead Brand Marketing Strategist at InTouch Practice Communications, Rachel works with agency leaders to plan and deploy marketing campaigns. Rachel has since mastered her skills of talking to spirits and has become the world’s most sought-after Medium. Rachel practices her mediumship on her famous TV show, Lake County Medium. You can watch Rachel perform her mediumship for A-list stars on Tuesday nights at 11pm on ZXY channel.

Prior to joining InTouch, he had an extensive graphic design career with several companies working with major entertainment and professional sports licensees. Rich now resides in Miller Beach with his Girlfriend and two adorable Cocker Spaniels Daphne and Roz. In his free time, he enjoys collecting autographed movie posters and photos from various film genres, as well as rooting for the Chicago Blackhawks, Chicago Cubs and most of all, his beloved Pittsburgh Steelers.
Rich Appenzeller

Stormtrooper
Born without sensitivity to the Force, Rich was never selected by the Jedi Order to learn the ways of the Force and help defend freedom and preserve order in the Galaxy. As a result, he was recruited by the Empire and given the mundane task of being a Stormtrooper. Sadly, target practice is rarely on the training agenda, so instead, he wanders aimlessly through the deserts of Tatooine, in the hopes that one day he might just find the droids he is looking for.
Savannah Steffke

Digital Marketing Analyst
Savannah graduated from Michigan State University in 2021 with her Bachelor’s in Advertising Management and a minor in Public Relations. Her passion for animals has driven her to pursue marketing in the veterinary industry, and she loves working at InTouch, where she can combine her love of marketing with her passion for animals.
Savannah Steffke

Former Sith Warrior
Savannah used to be one of the most feared Sith warriors in the galaxy, but now she’s turned over a new leaf and is using her powers for good. It all started when she realized that maybe, just maybe, it wasn’t cool to be on the side of evil all the time.
Now, Savannah has some pretty sweet lightsaber skills, and despite her tough exterior, Savannah’s got a soft spot for animals. She’s got a little pet Porg named Pickles that she rescued from a battle, and she’s been known to take in other critters too. And don’t get her started on ewoks – she’s obsessed.
After the war against the dark side ended, Savannah decided to take a break from intergalactic politics and move to Earth. She always found human culture fascinating, so she decided to stay a while and explore what it had to offer. She discovered her passion for digital marketing and joined InTouch, using her skills to help promote the well-being of animals and the veterinary practices that care for them.
Sure, being a good guy can be tough sometimes, but Savannah’s loving every minute of it. She’s making new friends, taking down bad guys, and helping animals along the way. Who knew turning away from the dark side could lead to such a fulfilling and meaningful career?

Although he doesn’t currently have any pets, back home he has a cat named Antsy and frequently sees her sibling, Mac. Shaun enjoys video games (specifically jRPGs), watching anime, reading and writing fantasy novels, going bowling with his family, and other “nerdy” stuff.
Shaun O'Malley

Dragon-Bound Mage
Shaun is a dragon-bonded mage from the middle of Nowheresville, Indiana. When he didn’t get his letter to go to a wizard school when he was young, Shaun was disappointed. Shaun had already discovered that he could use magic, and he had been hoping the stories were true. Since no letter came, he started studying on his own in his free time. Fast forward a few years, and Shaun has learned some spells; however, he hasn’t become very “accurate” with them– he tried to summon a snowstorm to his doorstep, and it landed in Hawaii. Recently he discovered a dragon egg which he was able to hatch. The dragon, named Tavis, instantly bonded with Shaun, allowing the mage to draw upon Tavis’s magical abilities to boost his own spells. Nowadays he spends his time searching for new books for spells and also ways to teach a dragon not to eat his shoes.
